Just a couple of things I noticed:
- I can see no PM (Private Message) options
- The welcome mails and the HTML TITLE text both say "yourdomain.com" instead of "anycpu.org"

Cheers
Ed

Ed, see if you get the "(0 new messages)" thing about 2" from the top-left corner. Clicking on that should get you there. And I agree the "phpBB yourdomain.com" needs to say "AnyCPU".

I fixed the pm issue, it was only a matter of permissions.
About the "phpBB yourdomain.com" I am not exactly sure where that setting is, I searched the control panel and I couldn't find it.

In the overview there are little blue icons to the immediate left of the Topics column, they look like RSS symbols or maybe loudspeaker icons. I don't know what they're for, but if I click on one I get an https url which fails to load.

Edit: And when posting, the forum returns with an https url which also fails to load. I have to reload the forum and get back in via http

Probably RSS feed, I'll either try to implement it, or I'll remove it.

Thanks for fixing things!

I notice that there's no email notification on a watched thread or a thread I contributed to: that's vital in my view, to ensure that conversations keep moving and to avoid people being forced to poll the forum site.

Cheers

I cannot find a way to see the unread posts. I mean, there's an option to list the threads with unread posts, but whatever I click on after that will move me to the start of the thread, not to the first unread post.
NB: I use the Android browser, but it works fine on other forums.

Hmm, I don't have Android devices.
Most of the issues with the forum is only a matter of changing the settings in the control panel. I never installed a forum before. Maybe Garth would know how to fix that.

Immedialy above the list of forum sections, starting at the left margin, I get:
View unanswered posts • View unread posts • View new posts • View active topics
I'm using the prosilver board style though, which I think is more attractive than the serenity one. (user control panel --> board preferences tab --> edit global settings --> My board style)

I also see those, and I select View Unread Posts, so far so good - I see the topic(s) which have unread posts. What I don't see is where to go from there, because I cannot find a link that will bring me the first unread post in the topic. I always get the first post in the topic and has to scroll down from there until I see something I haven't read. On other forums there's a little icon to the left of the Topic which will bring you to the first unread post, but I don't find a link here on this forum.

Just to the left of the post title is a small red arrow icon which takes you to the first post. (For me.) It's different from the big red arrow icons which are in a different column of the table.

The tiny little arrow takes me to the first post, not the first unread post of the topic.. exactly as if I had clicked the topic title itself.

Oh, so it does for me too, sorry. I think that's the button which is supposed to work.

(Similarly, view latest post in the rightmost column doesn't work)

(Ah - it's the framed presentation which is broken. If you hit the 'Click Here if you want to see the forum across the entire browser. ' then it seems to work better. It's also the framed presentation which is giving the SSL errors.)

Admins: any progress on email notifications?

Cheers
Ed

No, I was hoping that Garth could ask Mike on how to set that.
